1. Bring up the needle on the lower edge of the striped fabric or crazy quilt seam. Move the needle to the right, and take a stitch that is parallel to the upper edge of the stripe or seam and that moves from right to left. Make sure the thread is placed below the needle.

2. Move the needle to the right, and take a stitch below the lower edge of the stripe or seam, making sure the thread is under the needle.

3. Move the needle to the right, and repeat Step 1.

4. Continue as needed.

Lazy Daisy

This stitch is also called the Detached Chain Stitch.
